Ingredients:
- ½ cup cold water
- ½ red bell pepper (or any color)
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 ½ cup kale leaves
- ½ apple
- a thin slice of fresh or frozen ginger
- 8 whole almonds
- about 6 ice cubes
- optional – a bit of frozen fruit – a few grapes, mango pieces, orange segments…
Directions:
- Mix all in blender, setting on “juice” if this is an option, or until well blended.
- This is super-nutritious juice, with all these wonderful veggies! The almonds provide good (monounsaturated) fats, which will help with absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
- If you are out of any of the ingredients, experiment and substitute – spinach instead of kale, cucumber instead of celery, any kind of frozen fruit, for a bit of sweetness.
